As you can see, Oliver is scowling in the background.  He is not a morning person and resented seeing my camera so early.  Elliott of course didn’t shy away one bit.

So how did we get Oliver to smile?  We said, “Don’t smile Oliver, don’t smile.”  He can’t resist doing exactly what we told him not to.

After taking pictures, they opened a present, and we enjoyed special birthday pancakes.  Happy Birthday E & O!

This one is my absolute favorite.  Pouty lips, squishy cheeks, just propped up there like it’s no big deal to be this cute.

And check out this outfit that her mom brought to the session.  It was a gift from a baby Davin’s aunt and it’s just almost too cute.  You can see that getting all dressed up didn’t phase her one bit.  She slept right through it.

And once we got Xander all cleaned up we had his sisters jump in the picture.  I love pictures of kiddos feet.  There’s just something so magical and telling about looking at their little toes, the way they stand, their different sizes.  It all adds up to a special way to capture a moment in time and remember this stage of your kids lives.  Such a darling picture!
